1. Introduction

LotusBridge Health ("LotusBridge," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal and health-related information when you use our website (the "Site"), our medical travel coordination services, and our optional Text Alert Subscription (collectively, the "Services").

LotusBridge is a medical travel facilitator based at 9650 Telstar Ave Unit A829, El Monte, CA 91731. We are not a healthcare provider, hospital, insurer, or visa agency. This policy describes our practices only; third-party hospitals and providers you are connected to have their own privacy policies that govern information you share directly with them.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide through our contact form:

  • Care needs: a description of your condition, treatment interests, or questions.
  • Preferences: preferred specialty, city, or hospital (optional).
  • Travel and visa details: whether you are in China, planned travel window, visa status, and passport country.
  • Contact information: email address, WhatsApp number, and/or phone number, depending on the contact methods you select.

Text Alert Subscription information:

  • Your mobile number for receiving text alerts.
  • Your affirmative consent to receive SMS messages, recorded as a yes/no flag.

Information collected automatically:

  • Basic technical data such as browser type, device type, and approximate region, collected through standard server logs and analytics.

Health-related information. Any details you voluntarily share about your medical condition in the "care needs" field are considered health-related information. You are not required to provide clinical details to submit an inquiry, and you may share only what you are comfortable providing.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and prepare a preliminary care plan or coordination proposal.
  • Match you with appropriate hospitals, specialties, or providers in China.
  • Coordinate appointments, travel, and visa guidance.
  • Send you the text alerts you have opted in to, including appointment reminders, travel and visa updates, and status changes.
  • Communicate with you through your preferred contact methods.
  • Improve our Services, website content, and patient experience.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not use your information to diagnose, treat, or make clinical decisions about your care. Those decisions are made by licensed healthcare providers you engage with directly.

4. Preferred Contact Method Data and Consent

When you submit a contact inquiry, you may choose one or more preferred contact methods — Email, WhatsApp, and/or Phone Call. For each method you select, we store the contact detail you provide (email address, WhatsApp number, or phone number) together with a record of your affirmative consent for that method.

Email. If you select Email, we store your email address and a yes/no consent flag indicating you authorized us to email you about your care coordination. We use your email to respond to your inquiry, share care plan information, and send coordination updates.

WhatsApp. If you select WhatsApp, we store your WhatsApp number and a yes/no consent flag indicating you authorized us to message you on WhatsApp about your care coordination. WhatsApp messages are delivered through the WhatsApp service and your mobile carrier; these providers may process message delivery data subject to their own privacy practices.

Phone Call. If you select Phone Call, we store your phone number and a yes/no consent flag indicating you authorized us to call you about your care coordination. Standard carrier rates may apply to calls you receive.

Consent records. Your consent for each contact method is recorded separately and only for the methods you actively select and confirm. We do not contact you through a method you have not selected.

Withdrawing consent. You may withdraw your consent for any contact method at any time by replying to a message, declining a call, or contacting us at info@lotusbridgehealth.com. After withdrawal, we will stop using that method for non-essential communications, except where required to complete an active coordination or by law.

5. Text Alert Subscription Data

When you opt in to the Text Alert Subscription, we store your mobile number and a record of your consent. Text alerts are sent at a frequency of typically 2–5 messages per month, with additional messages around scheduled appointments or time-sensitive coordination.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates charged by your mobile carrier may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for assistance. You will not be subscribed unless you explicitly check the consent box on our form.

SMS messages are delivered through third-party communications providers and your mobile carrier. These providers may process message delivery data (such as your mobile number and delivery status) as needed to transmit the messages, subject to their own privacy practices.

6. How We Store Your Data

Contact form submissions and Text Alert Subscription data are stored in a secure database operated by LotusBridge. Access to your records is restricted to authorized LotusBridge personnel and is limited to what is necessary to coordinate your care and respond to your inquiry.

Contact submissions may also be synced to our email-marketing contact platform so that our team can follow up with you and keep your coordination records current. This sync uses your email address as the primary identifier.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal or health-related information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With hospitals and providers: only after obtaining your explicit consent, we may share relevant health-related information and other details you provide with the hospital or healthcare provider you select, solely to help them prepare for your requested visit or care coordination.
  • With service partners: trusted third parties that help us operate the Services, such as our database provider, SMS delivery provider, WhatsApp messaging provider, and email-marketing platform. These partners are bound by confidentiality obligations and process data only as needed to provide their services.
  • For legal compliance: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of LotusBridge, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to the protections described in this policy.

Other than as described above, we will not share your information without your consent.

Health-related information sharing commitment. LotusBridge will share health-related information only with a hospital or healthcare provider you select and only after receiving your explicit consent. We will not share your health-related information with any other third party. We continually review and update our Data Sharing and Disclosure practices and policy to help maintain compliance with applicable HIPAA requirements.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include restricted access controls, encrypted data transmission, and secure database storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain your contact inquiry and coordination records for as long as needed to provide the Services and respond to your requests, and afterward for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain records. If you opt in to the Text Alert Subscription, we retain your mobile number and consent record until you opt out or request deletion. You may request early deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below).

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Opt out of the Text Alert Subscription at any time by replying STOP to any message.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing or non-essential communications.
  • Request a copy of the data you provided to us.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@lotusbridgehealth.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

11. Minors

The Services are not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. A parent or legal guardian may submit an inquiry on behalf of a minor or dependent, in which case the guardian affirms they are authorized to do so. If you believe we have collected information from a minor in error, please contact us so we can delete it.

13. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the Services. The most current version will always be posted on this page with the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or, where appropriate, by email or text message. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
